Learn to make a Violin

I teach an amateur violin building class every Friday from 9am to 12 at the BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network) on Bainbridge Island, Washington. I help students through the process of building a violin, going slowly through all the steps until the student has completed a violin in the white. Anyone can do it! All that is required is patience and a desire to create your own work of art.

Irish Tune-Teaching Class for Absolute Beginners

I lead an Irish tune teaching class for anyone who wants to learn some basic Irish tunes to form an entry point into playing Irish traditional music. This class is designed for players who already know how to play their instrument but are new to Irish music. I teach tunes, discuss Irish session etiquette, and go over various tools that aid in learning tunes.

This class is held at the Celtic Crossroads store on Bainbridge Island.
